ARMENIA AND IRAN WILLING TO REINVIGORATE ECONOMIC COOPERATION

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 24. /RIA NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT GAMLET MATEVOSYAN/ -- On Tuesday Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Markaryan and Iranian Information Minister Ali Yunesi discussed an outlook for bilateral economic cooperation.

The sides focused on the implementation of industrial and farming projects, reinvigoration of cooperation in energy, science, education and tourism, said the press and public relations board of the Armenian governmental staff.

The two stressed the need of stepping up immediate contacts between Armenian and Iranian businessmen, the ensurance of mutual investments and their safeguards.

Markaryan and Yunesi also noted that the preservation of stability and security in the South Caucasian region is important for progress of joint economic programmes.
