MOSCOW, February 24, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Austria has extradited to Russia Ahmed Adzhikhadzhayev who is concerned in kidnapping more than twenty servicemen of the Federal Forces in the North Caucasus. RIA Novosti was told about it on Tuesday in the press service of the Main Department for Combating Organised Crime of the Russian Interior Ministry.
"The other day, Adzhikhadzhayev, accompanied by staff members of the T Centre (for combating terrorism), was brought by air from Austria to Moscow. In the next few days he will be convoyed to Daghestan (a Russian republic in North Caucasus) for investigation actions, "a spokesman for the Main Department said.
Adzhikhadzhayev from Daghestan was has been in the international wanted list from December 2000.
