PARIS, February 24, 2004. (RIA Novosti correspondent Andrei Nizamutdinov) - Russia has every chance to complete talks with the European Union on admission to the World Trade Organization by May 1st, Russian Economic Development Minister German Gref announced in Paris on Tuesday.
In Paris he attended a meeting with French business circles devoted to Russia's investment opportunities.
According to Gref, Russia and the EU have "a coordinated list of problems" they have to come to terms on. The negotiations are progressing "quite actively" and "there is every chance and reason to successfully complete the talks on all positions by May 1st", the Russian minister said.
