VLADIVOSTOK, February 20 (RIA Novosti corr. Veronika Perminova) - Two amateur fishermen who were nearly taken to sea on an icefloe in the Sakhalin region have been rescued.
RIA Novosti was told in the State inspectorate for small boats that the icefloe was torn away by heavy wind and headed for the sea.
Wind complicated rescuers' work. The younger fisherman was saved first. He was taken to the coast in a rubber boat. The second man was rescued by a motor boat. The fishermen are in normal condition.
