GROZNY, February 17, 2004 (RIA Novosti) -- A base of militants has been liquidated in Ingushetia (a republic in the North Caucasus, Chechnya's neighbour), the regional counter-terrorist operation staff told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
"Chechen and Ingush policemen were checking the information given by local residents and discovered a base of militants near the village of Surkhakhi (Ingushetia) yesterday," the staff reported.
