CACHE WITH PLASTID DISCOVERED AT A MINIBUS STATION IN GROZNY

GROZNY, February 17, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - A cache with one kilogramme of plastid has been discovered at a minibus station in the Chechen capital Grozny, RIA Novosti was told on Tuesday in the regional operational headquarters for the North Caucasus anti-terrorist operation.

"Yesterday, when servicemen conducted searching operations, they found a cache at a minibus station in Grozny. It contained one kilogramme of plastid, 357 cartridges of the 5.45-mm calibre, 11 rounds to a VOG-25 under-barrel grenade launcher, a 122-mm shell and two 82-mm shells. All of these were confiscated," said a headquarters spokesman.

According to him, the ammunition was taken away to a safe place and blasted. "People having relation to the cache are being searched for," said the spokesman.
