No later than tonight the relatives of those who perished in the rubble in Moscow Yasenevo district will get 100,000 roubles (about $ 3.5 thousand), an official at the Moscow Social Protection Department said.
The compensatory payment sum has been established by the government of Moscow. People who lost their relatives in the accident will receive 100,000 roubles, the hospitalized survivors - 50,000 and those in need of outpatient treatment - 3,000.
About 20 of 260 policyholders, injured in the crash, have claimed damages so far, said the Pari company that provided insurance to Transvaal AquaPark clients. According to the insurance policy, the maximum amount payable on settlement is 60.000 roubles. The overall compensation sum will be calculated in the days to come after experts determine severity of the injuries. As a Pari representative said, the damages cannot be increased due to the limit provided in the contract of insurance.
The Transvaal AquaPark's roof collapsed on Saturday night, killing 25, injuring 68. 11 people are still missing under the rubble.
