MOSCOW, February 12, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent Olga Protasenko) - There is a certain link between Chechen terrorism and Al-Qaeda, US Ambassador Alexander Vershbow said on Thursday.
Al-Qaeda has managed to recruit the Chechen movement and use it for the fight against the world civilisation," he said to students of the International University in Moscow.
According to the diplomat, the money, weapons and technologies of producing dangerous poisons were delivered to Chechnya from abroad, in particular Al-Qaeda.
