SPECIAL DUMA COMMITTEE CONSIDERS IVANOVO LEGISLATORS' INITIATIVE

MOSCOW, February 12, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - The Duma committee for constitutional legislation and state development has recommended that the lower house turn down the initiative of the legislative assembly of the Ivanovo region to extend the presidential term up to seven years.

All the members of the committee were unanimous in their decision.
