MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 11 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's capital is through its worst blizzard of the last thirty years. The municipal weather bureau estimates the fallout at 8 mm for yesterday into the small hours today. The snow blanket is 51 centimeters thick at, and close to, the All-Russia Exposition Center in the city's north. It is the thickest, 54 cm, near Hotel Balchug in Moscow's heart, just opposite the Kremlin, across the Moskva River. The previous 24 hours added an average 13 centimeters to the blanket throughout the snow-clad city.

A cyclone from the Baltic clashed with another, from south, above Moscow yesterday, with a vast difference of temperature and humidity, to produce the blizzard, explain experts.
