According to him, the leading cycling nations, such as Germany and France will send to Moscow their best racers.
In his turn, President of the Russian Cycling Sports Federation (RCSF) Aleksander Gusyatnikov noted that only those teams, which will compete for the gold at the forthcoming Olympics in Athens, will participate at the Moscow round of the World Cup. "Not all countries will send their best racers, but at the race in Krylatskoye we are waiting for strong teams from Germany, France, Italy Switzerland, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands and Belgium," Gusyatnikov said.
The RCSF President also touched upon the issue concerning the security in the light of the recent terrorist act in Moscow subway. "We have been buried, literary speaking, with faxes and telephone calls concerning this issue," Gusyatnikov said. "We have a scheduled discussion on this issue with Moscow Vice Mayor Valery Shantsev, although Moscow is ready to host this kind of event," he added.
