MOSCOW, February 11th, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent) - Russia is negative about the erection of the security fence between Israel and Palestine, said Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov after negotiations with his Jordanian counterpart Marwan Muasher.
"We come out against unilateral actions that can only further aggravate the situation in the region. We want the conflicting sides to stick strictly to the road map plan that has been approved by the sides themselves and the entire international community," said Ivanov.
The Jordanian minister in turn called for avoiding any unilateral actions and focusing efforts on the strict and clear implementation of the road map plan to eventually create a Palestinian state.
