MOSCOW, February 11, 2004. (RIA Novosti). Russia comes out for the beginning of a direct dialogue between Israeli and Palestinian Prime Ministers, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said following the talks with his Jordanian counterpart Marwan Muasher.
"Russia backs the implementation of the road map plan of the Mideastern settlement," Ivanov noted.
"It is necessary to start a direct dialogue between the Israeli and Palestinian premiers for this purpose," the Russian Foreign Minister stressed.
According to him, Russia will be actively cooperating with its partners, the UN, European Union and the USA, on the further promotion of the road map.
