"The Tajik side hopes that the St. Petersburg and Russian law enforcers will do their utmost to catch and punish the killers," said spokesman for the Tajik Foreign Ministry Igor Satarov.
"In Tajikistan this event arose indignation and serious concern for attacks on our nationals in some regions of the Russian Federation by neo-Nazi and nationalist gangs," Satarov said.
Last night in St. Petersburg a group of young people with knives attacked a Tajik national, his daughter, 9, and his nephew, 11. The boy and the man had cerebral injuries and the girl was stabbed to death.
Criminal proceedings were initiated.
Russia's acting Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev took the investigation of this crime under his special control.
