MOSCOW, February 9 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin believes decisions to exempt charity funds from taxation should be taken separately.

The Russian president commented on the speech by Nobel prize winner Zhores Alfyorov who complained about the fact that a charity fund created by him pays 51% of scholarships meant for teachers, students and pupils as taxes.

In his speech at a session of the presidential Council for science and high technologies, Zhores Alfyorov said he prepared amendments to the draft law on charity funds that envisage taxation exemption of funds established by Nobel laureates.
