MUNICH, February 8, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - Russia and Georgia are expected soon to resume negotiations on deadlines for Russia to pull out its army bases from Georgia. The talks were suspended for some time with major political changes in Georgia. The previous eight rounds made no progress to bring the Parties' points closer together, Sergei Ivanov, Russia's Defence Minister, said to a news conference in Munich.

Georgia's President will pay a visit to Russia within a few days, he added.
