MOSCOW, February 7 (RIA Novosti correspondent Nikolai Makarov) - The Russian Central Election Commission has registered Ivan Rybkin as presidential candidate on Saturday. This decision was taken after the checking of conformity of Rybkin's self-nomination order with the documents needed for registration and of the authenticity of subscription lists.
The Central Election Commission has also taken a decision to submit information and materials evidencing the falsification of some voters' signatures collected in Rybkin's support. Violations needing criminal and legal qualification were revealed during the checking of signatures, the Russian Central Election Commission said.
The presidential elections are scheduled for March 14, 2004.
