SEASONS INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL IN ST. PETERSBURG

ST. PETERSBURG, February 7 (RIA Novosti-Northwest correspondent Anna Novak) - On February 7-15 St. Petersburg will be hosting the Seasons international music festival.

Pianists Aurelio and Paolo Polici and Boris Petrushansky, flutist Massimo Mercelli, the Russian Ensemble of Old Music, singers Giovanni Manci, Alla Kolganova, Zurab Sotkilava, etc. will perform in the Philharmonia, the Conservatory, the Sheremetev Palace, the Hermitage Theater, St. Catherine's Church and other best concert halls of St. Petersburg, the festival's organizational committee said.

The 2004 festival features Italian and Russian music of various epochs, styles, trends and genres. The program traditionally includes works by different composers entitled "Seasons".

The Seasons festival is annual and traveling. It opens in St. Petersburg. After that, concerts are held in Moscow, Sochi and Krasnodar (Russia's south).

The 2003 festival featured the Scandinavian and northern music. Swedish, Danish and Estonian musicians took part in it.
