ALIYEV ON RUSSIAN, AZERI MPs COOPERATION MOSCOW, February 6, 2004 (RIA Novosti) - Mutual visits by Russian and Azeri parliamentarians will boost interaction between the two countries. Azeri President Ilkham Aliyev expressed this opinion at a Moscow press conference on Friday after meeting Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Sergei Mironov.

The president told journalists that he invited Mironov to visit Azerbaijan once again.

Aliyev noted that they had discussed bilateral cooperation and came an "unanimous conclusion: the relations of friendship and good-neighborliness between our countries should be continued." "We in turn will do everything it takes to develop and boost them for the good of our peoples and nations," said the president. "Russia and Azerbaijan are strategic partners," he emphasized.
