PUTIN, BUSH TO BUILD UP JOINT COUNTER-TERRORIST EFFORTS

MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 6, 2004 (RIA NOVOSTI) - President Putin of Russia and President Bush of the United States have confirmed their resolve to build up joint counter-terrorist efforts.

According to the Kremlin's press-service, George Bush telephoned today to Vladimir Putin, presenting his deep condolences to all Russian people over the act of terrorism in Moscow. The heads of state shared the resolve to take joint action to resist terrorist threats.

An explosion occurred in the Moscow subway on Friday morning, killing, according to recent data, 39 people and injuring more than a hundred.
