TRAIN EXPLODED IN MOSCOW SUBWAY MOVED TO CENTER

MOSCOW, February 6, 2004. (RIA Novosti) -- The train, which exploded in Moscow's subway on Friday, was moving to the center of the city, the Russian Interior Ministry said.

The train exploded 300 meters away from Avtozavodskaya station.

The explosion occurred at 08.32 Moscow time by the first door of the second subway train car.

According to Moscow Vice Mayor Valery Shantsev, about 30 people were killed and 98 wounded in the terrorist act.
