RUSSIAN PREMIER BEGINS WORKING AFTER SHORT-TERM LEAVE

MOSCOW, FEBRUARY 6, 2004. (RIA NOVOSTI). Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Kasyanov begins working on Friday after a short-term leave. The government's information department told journalists that the Russian premier will hold a meeting with president of Azerbaijan Ilkham Aliyev in the second half of the day, during which the sides will discuss prospects of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

The information department also said that the government's session planned for February 6 has been postponed till February 11 in connection with the visits by finance minister Alexei Kudrin and head of the Central Bank Sergei Ignatyev to the USA to meet with finance ministers and heads of central banks of the G8 countries.
