MOSCOW, February 3, 2004 (RIA Novosti correspondent Denis Telmanov) -- An international forum of meat and dairy industries opened in the Russian capital on Tuesday. Several dozen companies producing meat and dairy products in Russia, CIS and other countries are taking part in the forum.
According to Georgy Sazhev, Russia's deputy agriculture minister, meat and dairy industries are a major link in ensuring the country's provision with food. "We hope that the work of this forum will boost the development of meat and dairy industries in our country and help ensure good quality of our products." Sazhev stressed. He added that the forum participants could share their experience, establish business contacts and receive guidelines for their work at the forum.
