MOSCOW, February 2, 2004. (RIA Novosti) - General-Secretary of the Russian Football Union Vladimir Radionov sees no grounds for meeting protest of the Wales football club concerning the annul of the first 2003-Euro first leg-game against Russia, held on November 19th, 2003 in Cardiff and ended 1:0 in favor of Russia.

In his interview with RIA Novosti Radionov stated, that "he has no clue what could be the grounds for tomorrow's UEFA control-disciplinary committee session concerning the protest of the Wales football club to annul the results of the 2003-Euro game against Russia." After the game in Moscow on November 15th Russia's midfielder Egor Titov was tested bromantan positive, which is prohibited.

According to the RFU General Secretary, he has all the necessary documents, including those from the UEFA inspectors, proving that the Wales football club has no hopes to win the case.

The RFU General Secretary reminded that President of the World Antidoping Agency Richard Pound, commenting on the so-called Titov's case, stated that the whole team cannot be punished for the violation of the only one player.
