S&P RAISES RUSSIA'S CREDIT RATINGS

MOSCOW, January 27 (RIA Novosti) - The Standard&Poor's rating agency raised the Russian Federation's credit ratings on Tuesday: long-term credit ratings on obligations in foreign currency - from BB to BB+, and credit ratings on obligations in the national currency - from BB+/B to BBB-/A-3.

At the same time Standard&Poor's confirmed the short-term sovereign rating on obligations in foreign currency at the B level, and the rating on the national scale at the ruAA+ level, says the agency's press release received by RIA Novosti Tuesday.

The forecast on the ratings remains "Stable."
