MOSCOW, January 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the government to bear in mind the pensioners' social problems.
"There are 30 mln pensioners in Russia and the problems in this sphere are very acute," the Russian President told a Cabinet session.
A number of steps concerning the improvement of the situation with pensioners were taken within the recent years, but still many problems remain unresolved, the Russian President noted.
According to Vladimir Putin, the Russian State Council will consider on Tuesday issues relating to it and will tell the social bloc of the government its recommendations. "This year we must not forget about the solution of these problems," the Russian President stressed.
