TBILISI, JANUARY 25 (RIA Novosti) -The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe says it will provide Georgia's new leadership with assistance in building a democracy, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Pasi, told a press conference in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi Sunday.

"We have already discussed with the Georgian leadership those areas in which help will be provided. These will include primarily legislative and constitutional reform, the development of democratic institutions, and the fight against corruption," Pasi said. According to him, the OSCE assisted Georgia with the latest presidential polls, and is now ready to help in staging a parliamentary ballot in March.

The Bulgarian Foreign Minister also assured his audience that the OSCE would continue efforts toward a peaceful settlement of the conflict between Georgia and its breakaway provinces of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
