"The similar perception of the nature and basic trends of international development serves as a solid foundation for furthering bilateral and multilateral cooperation the Russian president said.
"We have respect for each other's positions, come out for a dialogue, and coordination of our efforts - you can not do without this in today's inter-dependent world", the head of the Russian state said.
Addressing the Ambassador of the Lebanon, Vladimir Putin said that Russia is interested in strengthening friendly ties with this state.
"The positions of our countries on major international problems are close or coincide. This also refers to the key problem of today's world - the Middle East problem, he said.
According to Putin, Moscow hopes to enrich economic and humanitarian contacts between Russia and Lebanon with new initiatives and projects.
