Under the new resolution, the Chechen government will pay 8,000-10,000 rubles ($1 = approximately 30 rubles) for grenade launchers, 7,000 rubles for machineguns, 6,000 rubles for sub-machineguns and 5,000-6,000 rubles for pistols, revolvers and carbines.
The compensation for guided anti-tank rockets is 5,000 rubles, 6,000 rubles for flame throwers, 3,000 rubles for explosive devices and 20 rubles for one gram of trotyl, ammonite, or RDX.
A participant in the weapons exchange program will receive 3-7 rubles for cartridges and ammunition for firearms, depending on the caliber.
The resolution on compensations was adopted on Wednesday after a session of the republican government.
A spokesman for the presidential press service said that apart from receiving compensation, these people would be relieved of the criminal responsibility for keeping arms.
