MOSCOW, January 21 (RIA Novosti correspondent Mikhail Smirnov) - Moscow will host the soccer Champions League final in 2006.
As president of the Russian Football Union (RFS) Vyacheslav Koloskov said at the presentation of the anniversary medal 80 Years of the Russian Federation's State Sports Committee to Russian football veterans on Wednesday, the respective accord was reached at the recent meeting in Moscow with the participation of Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov and UEFA president Lennart Johansson.
As Koloskov said, the UEFA president gave his consent of principle to hold the final match of the Champions League tournament of 2006 in Moscow.
