NEW DELHI, JANUARY 20 (RIA NOVOSTI) - The BraMos cruise missile developed by Russian and Indian specialists will be used by the two countries' navies, said Russian Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, now on an official visit to India.

"Russia and India will cooperate in carrying out joint military and technical projects - from R&D and design work to the production, using and subsequent disposal of weapons and military hardware patterns" Sergei Ivanov told Russian journalists on Tuesday.

"The point at issue is the highly technological production, including the space, missile and other fields" the minister pointed out. He also stressed that "the BraMos sea-launched cruise missile developed by Russian and Indian specialists went through the final tests successfully and were adopted by Russian and Indian Navies." "This is a perfect, cutting edge sea-launched missile which does not have analogues throughout the world," Ivanov stressed.
