GROZNY, January 14 (RIA Novosti) - An explosion in Chechnya killed three servicemen and seriously injured one.
As the republican Interior Ministry reported, the terrorist act was committed on Tuesday near the village of Vashindoroi, Shatoi district. "The federal forces were conducting engineering reconnaissance in the village when a strong explosion roared. Commander of the platoon Senior Lieutenant Suvorov and privates Berezhnoi and Nuzhgin were killed," said the spokesman for the Interior Ministry.
The hospitalized soldier, Domstroyev, is in a grave condition, according to the doctors.
The investigation into the incident is going on. The experts are establishing the type of the explosive device which was used in performing the terrorist act.
