MOSCOW, JANUARY 12, 2004, /RIA-NOVOSTI CORRESPONDENT ALEXANDER KOVALEV/ -- US astronaut Michael Foale discovered an air leak aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
A porthole drainage hose inside the US Destiny module cracked, thus causing internal pressure to drop, a NASA spokesperson told RIA-NOVOSTI January 12.
According to him, the ISS crew has now replaced that hose, also monitoring pressure levels inside the orbiter's compartments. (gro/sm)
