    ASTANA, JANUARY 9, RIA NOVOSTI - Partnerly Russian-Kazakh space efforts are not to boil down to Russian boosters launching Kazakh satellites, said President Vladimir Putin as be commented a bilateral agreement, signed in Astana today, for more effective joint use of the Kazakh-based Baikonur space centre, which Russia is renting.

    The two countries are to join hands for all-round space efforts. They are ready with related blueprints, and President Putin is sure these will be successfully implemented.

    The agreement envisages equal terms for Russian and Kazakh experts in efforts on Baikonur-based joint projects. The signatories vouch to work together for environmental cleanliness and protection in their space endeavours.
