ASTANA, JANUARY 9, RIA NOVOSTI - Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan ordered the respective governments to finish drafting a bilateral frontier delimitation treaty within the year.
A joint statement the summiteers have signed highlights the importance of signing the treaty. Both Presidents agreed in describing the Russian-Kazakh border as a frontier of friendship and goodneighbourly partnership to bring the two fraternal nations ever closer together.
