CHISINAU, January 2 (RIA Novosti) - Moldova starts distribution of the Russian humanitarian aid - 10,000 metric tons of wheat.
First trucks with Russian grain set off on Friday to various regions of the country, the press-service of the Moldova authorities reported.
The Cabinet of Ministers distributed the humanitarian aid in accordance with Russia's recommendations - Transdniestria will get the amount proportional to the number of people living in this rebellious region of Moldova, which became independent after the bloodshed conflict in the beginning of 1990s.
Transdniestria will receive 600 metric tons of grain, 200 metric tons will be sent to autonomous-territorial formations of Gagauziya. The same volumes of wheat will be sent to the Northern and Southern regions of Moldova.
