Rossiya Segodnya to Host Photo Exhibition 'Russia’s Army and Navy' in Crimea

In the run-up to Navy Day, Rossiya Segodnya will host the photo exhibition “Russia’s Army and Navy” at the Mikhailovskaya Battery Military History Museum of Fortifications in Sevastopol.

MOSCOW, July 18 (RIA Novosti) - In the run-up to Navy Day, Rossiya Segodnya will host the photo exhibition “Russia’s Army and Navy” at the Mikhailovskaya Battery Military History Museum of Fortifications in Sevastopol.

From July 22 to August 4, visitors will be able to see over 60 rare color and black-and-white photos highlighting Russian achievements in defense, security and high technology.


“The exhibition features the best photos from the RIA Novosti archive, including materials from the Great Patriotic War, a series of retrospective photos and modern photography,” says Ksenia Nikolskaya, head of Rossiya Segodnya’s exhibitions department.

The exhibition will primarily feature images taken by Rossiya Segodnya press photographers during military exercises, parades, arms exhibitions and other military events showcasing the current equipment levels and combat readiness of Russia’s Army and Navy.

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 3pm, July 22, at the Mikhailovskaya Battery Military History Museum of Fortifications in Sevastopol (35 Gromov Street). Rossiya Segodnya Director General Dmitry Kiselev plans to take part in the ceremony. Representatives of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are also expected to attend.
