PERM (Urals), September 19 (RIA Novosti) - Perm-based cartoonist Sergei Teterin has invented cartoons he calls Avatars that can communicate with cell-phone owners via text messages, the regional governor's office said Monday.
"Avatars are virtual characters who can have a conversation with cell phone owners via SMS text messages," the press service said.
Austrian companies have already put in an order for popular Star Wars character Yoda, who will offer his Force-based wisdom to aspiring Jedis in Russian, German and English.
Avatar is a computer science term that refers to a video image that appears after software is downloaded.
