* Russian Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeyev will hold a session of the organizing committee for the presidential races dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan (the Volga area).
SOLOVKI ISLANDS
* The 2nd international blacksmith festival (July 30 - August 1) will open. Artisans from Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other Russian cities, as well as Norway, the Netherlands, and Finland will take part in the event.
