The delegation, of eleven, will make its visit in compliance with a list of measures NATO and Russia's Defense Ministry have drawn together to enhance their arms and branches' operation compatibility. 15th Brigade check is the NATO officers' principal goal.
The brigade was established, November 2004, to contribute to the international peace and security cause. It comprises three motorized infantry battalions, and reconnaissance, logistics and training units.
The NATO delegates will see brigade weaponry, technologies and communication means, and watch troops drilled. They will also attend a brigade seminar.
NATO officers will spend three days in Samara, next to go back to Moscow for conferences and negotiations with spokesmen of the Combined Academy of the Russian Armed Forces and the Academy of the General Staff. They will be settling organization issues for an upcoming special drill of the NATO mobile training group. The drill has been tentatively scheduled for May 17-19, to base in Solnechnogorsk near Moscow.
The negotiators will also debate a list of tentative Russia-NATO expert exchanges for education and training in friendly countries.
