April 10 The Smokie will give their first concert in Petropavlovsk-Kamchtskiy and then continue the tour to St. Petersburg, Moscow and some other places in Russia, president of the Far-East Musical Corporation Dmitri Maloletkin has told our correspondent. The corporation has arranged the present tour.
Despite a long, over 24 hours, and tiresome trip the musicians (the youngest is 47 years old) are very optimistic and ready for performances.
That is the second Smokie's tour to Russia for several years, Maloletkin said.
Chris Norman separated to start a carrier of his own. Mike Craft is now the voice of the group.
Originally formed in Yorkshire, England, in 1966 the band reached the peak of its popularity only in 1975.
