NEW NON-COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE TO ATTRACT INVESTORS TO SOUTH OF RUSSIA

KISLOVODSK, March 28 (RIA Novosti) - A non-commercial structure has been established in the south of Russia to attract investment. Executive power bodies of constituent members of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs are the founders of the structure, a council of heads of the Russian Federation's constituent members reported.

An ad hoc group is to be set up to work out the structure and mechanism of investment attraction. The group will coordinate investment activity in the Southern District and provide a comprehensive approach to investment attraction.

The ad hoc group will be headed by chairman of the monitoring council of the Renaissance-Capital investment group Alexander Shokhin. A representative from each constituent member of the Southern District, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, National Agency of Direct Investment and other structures will work in the group.

Reportedly, the decision to set up such organizational structures was taken after executive authorities of the district presented their investment projects.

The session of the council was presided over by plenipotentiary to the Southern Federal District Dmitry Kozak and attended by businessmen.
