2006 BUDGET INTENDS OIL BARREL PRICE AT 34 DOLLARS

MOSCOW, March 16 (RIA Novosti) - The governmental budget commission has found expedient 2006 budget planning with reliance on the average oil-price forecast at 34 dollars/barrel, the press service of the Russian government reports.

At the commission's sitting, calculations made by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry were cited. They point to the lowering of the oil factor in the GDP increase because the internal sources of economic growth are increasing. The commission noted that in the coming year the share of the value-added tax in the GDP is expected to increase due to economic diversification and the accelerated growth of the processing sectors.

The commission also discussed structural economic changes due to happen in 2006 and during the three-year period, the state's expenditure obligations such as wage payments and the corresponding budget revenue to meet them.
