MAN THREATENING TO BLOW UP RUSSIAN, SWEDISH EMBASSIES ARRESTED IN TALLINN

TALLINN, February 25 (RIA Novosti's Nikolai Adashkevich) - On Friday Estonian police has arrested a man who reported in the morning that the Russian and Swedish embassies were mine-strewn.

A 31-year old man named Sergei suspected of these threats was arrested, said the press service of the northern police prefecture. Criminal proceedings have been launched.

At 11.00 local time, Friday the officer on duty of the Estonian rescue department received a call. A male voice said that the Russian and Swedish embassies on Pikk street were mine-strewn.

The department's bomb squad detail arrived at the sites. They checked the premises and cars parked near the embassies. No explosive devices were discovered.

The Russian embassy confirmed this information.
