* Ambassadors of some states will present their credentials to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

* A cabinet meeting will be held. The government will consider draft amendments to the federal laws On Banks and Banking Activity and On Bankruptcy of Credit Organizations.

- on the events organized by the National Economic Development Corporation in 2005: the Golden Ruble 4th all-Russia economic development contest; the 3rd international conference entitled "Regional economic development and promotion of Russia's cooperation with EU countries" and the international contest of children's drawings on the topic "Victory is always with us!" (12.00);

- on the topic "Western role in the orange revolution and the Eurasian strategy in Ukraine" (13.30).

* Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Russia Anthony Brenton will deliver a report on the issue "International tasks of the early 21st century: the viewpoint of Great Britain" (10.00).

* The Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry will host a roundtable on the 60th anniversary of the Crimean conference of the three leaders of the anti-Hitler coalition (14.00).

* Chairman of the State Duma security committee Vladimir Vasilyev will give a press conference on the restoration of confiscation as a way to fight terrorism, organized crime and corruption (14.00).

* The Unity For Russia's Sake foundation and Russia's Strategy magazine will hold a roundtable on the ways to increase Russia's capitalization (14.00).

* A Russian-French conference on the topic "Intellectual property on the service of innovations: juridical protection, protection of rights and use" will be held as part of the Moscow international salon of innovations and investments (9.30).

KALININGRAD

* Russian Transportation Minister Igor Levitin will arrive in Kaliningrad on a routine trip. He is to hold a session with the regional authorities, heads of municipal bodies and transport enterprises. It will focus on the replacement of social benefits with cash payments. On Friday Mr. Levitin will participate in the four-sided routine meeting of the Russian, German, Lithuanian and Polish transportation ministers.

YEREVAN

* Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will be paying an official visit to Armenia. He is to meet with Armenian leaders,

On Thursday night Mr. Lavrov will go to Tbilisi.

GENEVA

* The 26th session of the working group on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization will be held. The Russian delegation is headed by director of the department of trade negotiations of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry Maxim Medvedkov.

STANFORD, US

* Russian Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko will part

In the Russian-US technological symposium. He is a cochairman of this symposium. Mr. Fursenko is to deliver a report on the possibilities of the Russian-US partnership.

TOKYO

* The Russian-Japanese seminar on the topic "Banks, financial instruments and investment building in Russia" organized by the Association of Japanese Businessmen will be held in Tokyo.

WASHINGTON

* The US Senate Foreign Relations Committee will hold hearings on the situation in Russia under the chairmanship of Republican senator Richard Lugar. Yukos CEO Steven Theede is expected to deliver a report.

LONDON

* The 16th charity ball War and Peace will open in London. Its founder and organizer is Count Andrei Tolstoi-Miloslavsky, a descendant of the great Russian writer Leo Tolstoi. About 400 guests, including representatives of the famous Russian aristocratic families, are invited to the ball.
