MOSCOW, February 14 (RIA Novosti's sports commentator Mikhail Smirnov) - CSKA basketballers have beaten the NBA absolute record in the number of wins in succession. During the over 50-year history of the National Basketball Association, not a single team has scored over 33 wins on end.

Gaining a win last weekend over the CSK Armed Forces Samara, the Moscow army team has beaten the record yet unsurpassed by overseas basketballers.

To further better it the CSKA will have to sweat its guts out: four hard games are in store for it in the next ten days.

On Wednesday, the army team will vie in Kazan with one of its follows-up in the national championship, UNIKS. Intrigue in this duel is complemented by the fact that the Kazan team is coached by Stanislav Yeremin, who played for CSKA and was its coach for many years.

Three days later, Dinamo St.Petersburg will host the CSKA. The team coached by David Blutt of Israel will certainly try to mar the CSKA Moscow statistics. On February 23 the CSKA will play the first match in the Euroleague group tournament ULEB Top-16. The Barcelona team will be the competitor. This meet will also be held on the competitor's ground. Lastly, on February 26 the CSKA will have another home match of the championship with Dinamo Moscow Region, ranking among the leading five.

If the CSKA Moscow suffers no defeat, nobody will be surprised at its further records.
