This time around, this large-scale art show is going to place particular emphasis on decorative antiques, first of all on jewelry.

The non-profit projects to be presented at this year's Antiques Salon will feature furniture, toilet accessories, and lace underwear dating from the 18th and 19th centuries. Moscow's Bouquiniste, a shop chain dealing in rare books, will stage a display of books illustrated by Natalia Goncharova and other prominent exponents of Russian avant-garde art.

There will also be an extensive program of fringe events, including an auction in the Helios Gallery. All sorts of original antique pieces will be put up for sale at the auction, including coins, books, postage stamps, paintings, decorative artwork, silverware, jewelry, icons, armory, and furniture.
