MOSCOW, February 8 (RIA Novosti) - Customs officers do not confirm the information on the detainment in Moscow's Sheremetyevo-2 airport of the wife and children of a lawyer for Yukos on suspicion of drug smuggling.

"Facts of detainment of somebody on suspicion of drug smuggling have not been registered today or yesterday", the operative duty officer of the Sheremetyevo customhouse told RIA Novosti on Tuesday.

On Tuesday the press center of the ex-Yukos boss Mikhail Khodorkovsky has circulated the information that Yekaterina Guryanova -- wife of Yukos lawyer Pavel Ivlev -- and their children - a 12-year-old son and a preschool-age daughter - were detained in Sheremetyevo-2 on suspicion of drug smuggling. They were departing for New York.

Mr.Ivlev is now in New York, the press center said.

In turn, lawyers for Khodorkovsky, now attending the Meschanski court hearings, told RIA Novosti that they had no information on the detainment of the Ivlev family members.
