BISHKEK, February 5 (RIA Novosti's Yulia Orlova) - Last night, President Askar Akayev of Kyrgyzstan received Jakhan Pollyeva, President Vladimir Putin's aide, in Bishkek, Kyrgyz capital. They discussed stepping up bilateral cultural partnership, reports President Akayev's press service.

The conferees took stock of the ways to bolster up interstate humanitarian contacts. There are ample opportunities for that as the recent years have made prerequisites for such integration, just as in economic and strategic relations, say presidential PR.

The conferees stressed tremendous significance of humanitarian policies as the two countries are buttressing the humanitarian values they share. These values are instrumental to combat the ideology of intolerance, violent extremism, and terror.

The Parties agreed on a priority status of tasks to enhance the efficiency of bilateral and multilateral contacts within the CIS in the fields of culture, research, education, communications, and student and other youth exchanges.
