MOSCOW, February 2 (RIA Novosti) - Irkutsk, the regional center in Siberia, is hosting a long-established New British Cinema festival, February 10 through 16, announced Russia's government television and radio broadcasting company Kultura.

The festival will offer an entire range of the latest British-made films from comedies to art-house, say spokesmen of the British Council, which is arranging the event.

International festival winners will lead the show-"In This World", the Berlin festival Gold Bear holder for 2003; "Immaculate", the Martin Salzgeber award winner, Berlin, 2003; and "16 Years of Drinking," the Dinard Festival Kodak award winner for best cinematography.

Russia has hosted a total of four New British Cinema festivals. All the previous festivals were considered very successful. Audiences had the opportunity to see the previous years' best achievements, including Oscar and BAFTA winners.

The films will go on from Irkutsk to run in other major Siberian cities-Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk and Novosibirsk.
